Loyal Disobedience - A Social Tract of Euripides in Medea and Helen Ess

Steadfast Disobedience-A Social Tract of Euripides   â â In old Greece the females were viewed as scheming and beguiling whisperers, and men never trusted their wives.â The perfect lady was a loyal and pacifying wife.â They accepted that the female ought to be solid yet at the same time respect the intensity of the male in control, regardless of whether it was more seasoned sibling, father, or husband.â Euripides regularly utilized females in exceptional manners; he didn't just show them as careless animals.â Women in Euripides' plays were utilized for social commentary.â They were not simply basic characters; they could be both agathos and kakos.â The females in progress of Euripides were amazingly solid and insidious and they were faithful and yet hypocritical.â   â â â â â â â â â â Ancient Greco society contained a huge measure of divine beings, mythical beings, and other exceptional beings.â Even however it was broadly recognized what females ought to resemble, the divine beings themselves didn't imitate this.â Hera was not devoted to Zeus.â There are other conflicting goddesses: the goddess of Peace, and the goddess of War.â In the hour of Euripides there was a twofold standard.â   â â â â â â â â â â In both Medea and Helen, the title characters are insubordinate females.â They don't tune in to the guys around them.â In antiquated Greece it was not satisfactory for a female tolive by herself.â They accepted that females ought to be the hireling, or the enslaved property of a male.â Females depended on men for their assurance yet consequently they gave their loyalty.â What may have been viewed as dutifulness, in all probability was loyalty.â Men may have thought they had a submissive spouse yet this was not the situation.   â â â â â â â â â â Menelaos is wrecked in Egypt after a long and laborious j... ...permitted to break their physical bonds, for example murder the kids.   â â â â â â â â â â To Euripides, ladies were not the slightest bit obedient.â He accepted that ladies were faithful to the individuals who accommodate them, however in the event that you cut the arrangements you will lose their loyalties.â In both Helen and Medea the title character is a solid and free woman.â They are faithful to their spouses, yet just inasmuch as their significant other responds the loyalty.â They were steadfast yet disobedient.â If the association is broken, they won't listen.â A man may think he has a loyal wife, yet it is in all probability faithfulness. Is Speaking the Most Difficult Skill Free Essays

Is talking the most troublesome ability? As I would see it is difficult to state. It relies upon the age of the speaker, his degree of English, to what extent is he realizing and furthermore what sort of English does he works (have). There is a major distinction between an understudy of a college where he is examining English and an individual (e. We will compose a custom article test on Is Speaking the Most Difficult Skill? or on the other hand any comparative point just for you Request Now g. at a similar age) who knows English from certain courses. So that is the reason I don't know about inquiry whether is talking the most troublesome ability. From my own experience I would state that talking is possibly at a similar level as tuning in. In any case, I feel that listening is tad more troublesome than talking since when you are talking, you have some an opportunity to thing about the jargon, to pick the correct word and what is the most significant, in the event that you can't locate the correct word (or you don't have the foggiest idea how to state it in English) you can utilize diversion, depict the word yet additionally the audience can help you here and there. Though in tuning in there are not all that numerous prospects how to comprehend the significance. There are not all that numerous ways how to support yourself. Mr. Earthy colored says that ,,communicated in language does for sure contain a decent arrangement of excess, it likewise has many diminished forms†¦Ã¢â‚¬ That is the reason (as I would see it) is listening increasingly troublesome. Individual who is on the rudimentary or middle of the road level can't comprehend diminished structures in the flood of sounds (discourse) like I’ll/afflict/, you’d/youd/and so forth. He doesn't comprehend what does â€Å"ail† mean. He knows just â€Å"I will†. Be that as it may, when speaker state ,,I will† not â€Å"I’ll† there is no error. Another model why talking isn't the most troublesome (while listening is) is a result of ,,the rephrasings, redundancies, elaborations and little additions of ? I mean? furthermore, ? you know? and so on † (Brown). This implies utilizing of these â€Å"empty† phrases isn't mandatory for the speaker. Obviously the discourse is progressively normal by utilizing these expressions. Then again, these â€Å"empty† expressions may cause to audience novice a few issues in comprehension albeit some of the time they can assist with being fixed (situated) in given data. There is likewise another motivation behind why listening is increasingly troublesome that talking. Let us take the speed of the discourse. Numerous individuals who were abroad (Great Britain, USA†¦) state that they had issues with listening cognizance for initial a couple of months. Each local has his own speed of talking (which is at times very quick) and I am not talking about tongue or emphasize. Individual who is tuning in to local can have issues to get some word or in any event, which means. In any case, in talking it is simpler. It doesn't make a difference which sort of speed you are talking or which sort of emphasize do you have. Local or non-local will comprehend what are you discussing At the end I would state that the most significant is that we can not separate tuning in from talking and talking from tuning in. Both are troublesome (more than perusing and composing) however as indicated by my sentiment and my experience, talking isn't the most troublesome aptitude. I believe that listening is the most troublesome. Step by step instructions to refer to Is Speaking the Most Difficult Skill?, Essay models

Global Marketing Strategies, Definition, Issues, Examples

Global Marketing Strategies, Definition, Issues, Examples Global marketing is defined as the process of adjusting the marketing strategies of your company to adapt to the conditions of other countries. Of course, global marketing is more than selling your product or service globally. It is the full process of planning, creating, positioning, and promoting your products in a global market.Big businesses usually have offices abroad for countries they market to. Currently, with the proliferation of the internet, even small businesses can reach consumers anywhere in the world. If a business chooses not to extend internationally, it can face domestic competition from international companies that are extending their international presence. The presence of this competition almost makes it a requirement for many businesses to have an international presence. There are many benfits of global marketing, when it is done right.First, it can improve the effectiveness of your product or service. This is because the more you grow, the more you learn, and th e faster you learn, you become more effective at producing new product or service offerings.Second, you are able to have a strong competitive advantage. It is easy enough for companies to be competing in the local market. But there are very few companies who can do so on the worldwide arena. Hence, if you can compete in the worldwide market and your competitors cannot, you have become a strong force in your industry!Third, you increase consumer awareness of your brand and product or service. Through the internet, consumers can keep track of your progress in the world. Finally, global marketing can reduce your costs and increase your savings. In focusing on other markets, you can attain economies of scale and range by standardizing your processes not to mention the savings that you get when you leverage the internet!Companies evolving towards global marketing are actually quite gradual. The first stage has the company concentrating on the domestic side, with its activities focused on their home market. Stage two has the company still focusing domestically but has exports. By stage three, the company has realized that they need to adapt their marketing geared towards overseas. The concentration moves from multinational. Thus, adaption has become crucial. The fourth and last stage has the company creating value when it extends its programs and products to serve worldwide markets. Definitely, there are no definite time periods to this evolution process. © Shutterstock | Rawpixel.comAfter defining global marketing (including its uses and evolution), this article will be discussing the different aspects of global marketing: its strategies, campaign development, issues and mistakes, as well as standout examples.GLOBAL MARKETING STRATEGIESGlobal marketing strategies are actually important parts of a global strategy. In order to create a good global marketing strategy, you must be able to answer: “What I am trying to achieve in an international market?” “What are my company’s strengths and weaknesses for that market?” “How can I counter challenges in the market?” “What potential will I have in this market?”Moreover, a good global marketing strategy incorporates all the countries from all regions of the world and coordinates their marketing efforts accordingly. Of course, this strategy does not always cover all the countries but should be applied for particular regions. For example, you can break down regions like North America, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, and Africa.Beyond its breakdown per country or region, a global marketing strategy almost always consists of several things: (1) uniform brand names; (2) identical packaging; (3) similar products; (4) standardized advertising messages; (5) synchronized pricing; (6) coordinated product launches; and (7) harmonious sales campaigns. As a whole, these two are the most well known global marketing strategies used by companies expanding internationally:Create a consistent and strong brand culture. Creating a strong and consistent brand that always seems familiar to customers is a priority for companies growing internationally. With the ever-more rising and expanding internet, brand structure has become more of a brand culture. To be more specific, it has become more prevalent nowadays that the brand you support reflects your culture. It can be damaging if you compromise your brand culture. For example, Google found o ut the hard way when it launched a self-censored search engine in China, even though China subjects its new media to government blocks. Google’s brand has been known to make the world access information at anytime. How can Google set up something in China against its own culture? As a result, customer backlash versus Google was substantial.Market as if there were no borders. Due to the proliferation of digital platforms, brands cannot always adopt different strategies per country. In a way, due to the internet, companies have to adopt a marketing approach that is more or less unified.GLOBAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENTIn order to develop your campaign globally, there are a few things you should keep in mind. You have to know the market, you have to create a marketing plan, you should tailor fit your approach to marketing, and you should localize your communications.Know Your MarketAs soon as your company decides to extend your marketing worldwide, you have to understand the cont ext of where you will be working. Every region has various behaviors and norms as it deals with marketing messages; how people would like to be contacted; and what is appropriate for that place, and the like. You have to make sure that you research how the market will respond to the marketing strategy you have, so you can get much leverage from your new market.Create a Marketing PlanBecoming successful worldwide is not merely altering your language. You have to make your global marketing plan consistent with your local efforts. Yet it still needs to be customized, according to your regional knowledge. Once you have an insight of the global environment, draft a marketing plan that details your actions.First, identify your objectives and goals. As soon as that has been established, draw a map that covers the overall strategy and techniques to attain those objectives.Tailor Fit Your ApproachKeep in mind that what may have worked for your local audience may not translate as well to your foreign audience. Try to adapt your initiatives to your audience, giving them a tailor fit experience. Definitely, what works for one country may not work for another.Localize Your CommunicationsIt is not only relevant to know the language and cultural hurdles and adjusting your communications for every market, it is also critical to know all the cultural references and relevant holidays and events. You need to create a more personalized experience. But make sure not to make international marketing mistakes when translating your brand message. GLOBAL MARKETING ISSUES AND MISTAKESCompanies, especially their marketing teams, often face the following issues and mistakes when expanding worldwide. These can become hurdles in achieving international success.Non-Specification of CountriesMany businesspersons usually think of foreign markets vaguely, like they want to shift to Asia or they want to increase their growth by offering their products to Europe. It is problematic to take things to o simply. Europe can mean the European Union, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and so on and so forth. Consumers always identify themselves at the local level and marketing teams have to remember that each country has its own norms, laws, payment types, and particular business practices.By being specific in the start, companies can prioritize the markets they want to get into, generate a staffing plan, and allocate the budget. These are all important for a business to attain its global objectives. No Focus on Internal InformationYou have to conduct specialized and complicated market research when you are going to create a global market entry strategy. You would need to consider the potential opportunity in the market, how easy or hard it would be for your business to work in that market, and how successful you already are in the market. There are a lot of companies that concentrated on outside data to help their decision-making, as described above. Nonetheless, you can simply use your own internal information to get the data, on whether there is a strong fit between your product or service and the market. Remember that data from third parties do not understand your company or even know your consumer. Only you have the best input on this.Lack of Adaptation of Sales and Marketing ChannelsMost Western companies think that they can go into new markets by doing the same things that brought them success domestically. As previously mentioned, it is important to have brand consistency, but differing markets would like particular marketing approaches. Moreover, marketers have to consider at which channels it would be best to market, based on market behavior.Case in point, for Brazil, marketing campaigns are more successful through Facebook because of its popularity there. However, in Latin America, you can draw in a bigger audience through Twitter. Hence, you may need to check which channels give you the best results through market research. No Adaptation of Product Offerin gsBusiness can only attain a fit between their product and the market one at a time. However, more often than not, businesses attempt to launch the same products in varying markets. In essence, they are ignoring that they are interacting with a different set of consumers.Case in point, if a tech company sells a similar product abroad that it sells domestically and if the new customers do not know the advanced features of the product, the company could be in trouble. Alternatively, the company should begin with the basic version. On the same note, a market that is more advanced might need additional features than what the product already has.Non-Usage of Local Team LeadsPerhaps one of the usual mistakes companies make in global marketing is failing to consider the input of strong and competent employees in their foreign markets, especially when establishing strategic decisions. These individuals are significant because they know their country and your company. Since one of the biggest issues businesses face when including local input is communication, the marketing team must have a system that guarantees that local perspectives are gathered and distributed often.Lack of Knowledge on Global LogisticsMarketers often make use of software that allows them to publish website content, send email, publish updates on social media, and accomplish other marketing-related activities. However, these tools do not always support each market. For example, you have payment solutions only for a couple of countries, but your customer relationship management system has many contacts coming from a hundred countries.Marketers have to guarantee that they could market to customers in the countries they are entering. They should consider how to display the local currency, how to email consumers in particular time zones, and how to support the languages of the consumers.GLOBAL MARKETING EXAMPLESIf you are searching for inspiration on how to market your company successfully in the interna tional arena, check out these examples from well known companies.AirbnbAirbnb is for people who book and list accommodations all over the world. Generally, it is a community marketplace that has more than a million listings in more than 34,000 cities in the world. Airbnb became very successful globally because of social media. In 2015, Airbnb began a social media campaign using the #OneLessStranger hashtag. This social experiment had Airbnb asking its community to do random acts of hospitality for people they did not know and take a photograph or video with them and share by making use of the hashtag. In only 3 weeks after the campaign was launched, more than 3 million people created content, engaged, or talked about the campaign.Coca-ColaEven though Coca-Cola is a big corporation, it also concentrates on programs in small communities and infuses a lot of funds and time in small charities.Case in point, Coco-Cola built 650 clean water installations in Beni, Suef in Egypt and sponsore d meals (Ramadan) for children in the Middle East. Moreover, the brand goes with an emotion that everyone knows happiness.Domino’sDomino’s positioned menu innovation in the forefront to increase its international awareness and interest. They have consistent items for the pizza in all markets like their sauce, bread, and cheese, where it works anywhere. They just update the toppings for every market. How Learning Styles Can Improve A Persons Way Of Learning

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, â€Å"learning is the activity or process of gaining knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught, or experiencing something.† Referring to the textbook, Life-Span Human Development, 7th edition, by Carol Sigelman, on page 244, â€Å"memory is our ability to store and later retrieve information about past events, develops and changes over the life span.† In this essay, I will be discussing how learning styles are implemented in our memory to help us later recognize information that we had processed through specific styles of learning. Through different online tests that I have recently taken, I will explain how different learning styles such as visual, auditory, and tactile learning can help improve a person’s way of remembering subjects, also defined as memory. Not long ago, I took two different types of learning style tests. The first test that I took was through the website, www.educationplanner.org. Acc ording to this website, my results concluded that I was a tactile learner. Referring back to the questionnaire, What’s your learning Style? 20 Questions, â€Å"a tactile learner learns by touching and doing. They understand and remember things through physical movement. They are a ‘hands-on’ learner who prefers to touch, move, build, or draw what they learn, and tend to learn better when some type of physical activity is involved.† I agree with the statement that I could possibly be a tactile learner because I make a lot of handShow MoreRelatedContinuing Academic Success1112 Words   |  5 Pages and advancements that are being made in their area of employment. Toom’s life goes from his teenage years as a traveling monk, to tough days in boxing camps, to explosive matches where he knocks out most of his opponents across Thailand and Japan. It is shown that Toom did not like kick boxing but one other reason of changing his profession can be that kick boxing is not considered as an accurate profession for girls. The film presents Toom as a strong protagonist who is strong enough to fight the norms of the society and challenge them with hope of reachi ng his goal. Limitations The main limitations include the inability to provide the correct estimates of the effects associated with the installation of the program. Background This section takes us through the background history of the construction of the nuclear facility in the UAE based on the assumptions that nuclear power is reliable, safe and clean for use in the UAE (Par k Chevalier 2010). In April 2008, the UAE decided to install nuclear reactors for the purpose of providing nuclear energy to her population for industrial and domestic use. The installation was to take place according to the plan and nuclear policy developed in 2008. The project started in 2006, when the plan to install the nuclear reactor was completed (Park Chevalier 2010). The plan was the prerequisite to the development of the nuclear policy of the UAE in 2008, which was followed by the development of the appropriate infrastructure to accommodate the construction of the nuclear facility (Nuclear Power in the United Arab Emirates: World Nuclear Association 2014).Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Operations Management 305 specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More   Vision Mission The mission is outlined in the statement which says that country wants to â€Å"deliver safe, clean, efficient and reliable nuclear ener gy to the United Arab Emirates grid by 2017 and beyond† The vision statement says that the â€Å"country will provide the people and the entire population of the UAE electricity for â€Å"powering the future growth and prosperity of the United Arab Emirates through a safe, clean, efficient and reliable civil nuclear energy program† The core mission and vision statements provide direction for the UAE to provide the people and the nation with clean and safe energy to address the energy needs of the country. Discussion and Analysis Structure The following diagram shows the structure of the nuclear energy process and shows that.the head of the nuclear installation program is the prime minister to whom all parties involved in the installation of the program give account (Nuclear Power in the United Arab Emirates: World Nuclear Association 2014) (Source: Van Goethem, 2010, p. 7) The nuclear energy department The nuclear energy department of the UAE consists of the executive board, the internal audit department, the chief executive officer, and other departments, which function under the chief executive officer as shown in the diagram below.Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? Define and Understanding the Problems The strategic goal is to install a nuclear reactor to provide the people with clean, efficient, and reliable electricity for industrial and domestic use. The strategic initiative faces a number of criticisms because of the closeness of the UAE to Iran, potential disasters associated with nuclear reactors such as the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, and other natural disasters, which the UAE does not have the infrastructure and disaster management response programs to deal with. Levels of Strategy An assessment of the three level of strategy will provide the country with the most appropr iate strategy to install the nuclear facility in the UAE. The strategic process involves the people at the top level of the management hierarchy. The next level is the business strategy, which deals with the financial transactions or the money required to purchase the facility and train personnel to manage the nuclear facility (Abusharekh Shamisi 2011). The third strategy is the business strategy, which shows business need to install the facility and includes safe, clean, and efficient source of electricity. The last strategy is the operations strategy, which deals with the hiring and training of skilled personnel to operate and maintain the facility and the technical operations of the facility. The concept of Operations management Operations management is responsible for managing the transformation of processes, which deal with the planning and organising the provision of value to the services in the production of goods for the purpose of fulfilling the needs of people in a cost e ffective way by avoiding waste, during the transformation process of converting inputs into outputs. Here, efficiency and effectiveness underpin the functions of the operations manager (Van Goethem 2010). Efficiency means doing the right things and effectiveness means doing the things right. Typically, operations management provides guidelines for the management of an organisation to address managerial issues to ensure that quality of services and products are achieved within the organisation at each level of operation. That makes operations management a critical component of any organisation in managing the resources of the organisation, which includes the people, money, and other primary and secondary assets and support activities. Operations management Issues The operations management issues, which are consistent with the installation of the nuclear reactor in the UAE, which are discussed in the paper include ensuring that the UAE, through the commission responsible for the insta llation of the nuclear facility, is able to provide systematic solutions to the problems, which will face the UAE in implementing the nuclear plan. In addition, the commission and the nuclear department are able to address various issues such as infrastructure development for the implementation of the program (Stewart, Milford, Jewels, Hunter Hunter 2000). Operational policies for long term operations According to Schwalbe (2007, p.3), the operational polices of the UAE to sustain the nuclear facility should direct that the facility should include regular safety assessment of the facility, management of the regulatory competence of the nuclear department, continuous assessment of the safety of predisposing of nuclear waste, using an up to date and secure information system to run the facility, and formulating the polices which underpin the assessment and compliance with the IAEA policies on the safety of nuclear wastes (Kumar Van Hillegersberg 2000). The policy is to offer â€Å" â€Å"continued education and training, which constitutes a cornerstone of the critical infrastructure necessary to sustain a nuclear power program† (Kumar Van Hillegersberg 2000). Burying nuclear waste and other storage alternatives The people in the region could refuse the dumping of nuclear waste because they are aware of the consequences of radiation leaks from nuclear wastes. One alternative is to store nuclear wastes in proof containers and bury them under the ocean, and away from human habitats. Most of the containers will have rusted in 1000 years and that will not guarantee the children and future generations their safety. Deficiencies in the Current Operations management strategy A detailed study shows that the current strategy, which underpins the installation of the nuclear facility, is deficient of certain ingredients to ensure a successful implementation and fulfillment of the strategic objective of generating power from a nuclear reactor (van Weele 2010). The main weaknesses of the current strategy is that it lacks the operations component to enable the management achieve its strategic objectives. Developing Operations Strategy The nuclear department will conduct an analysis of the perceptions of the people of the UAE, surrounding countries, international atomic energy agencies and bodies, and other nations to develop the right strategy to address the concerns in each area. It is important to ensure that the strategic process of implementing the nuclear facility is done at three levels, which have been discussed above, based on the elements discussed below (van Weele 2010). SWOT Analysis A SWOT analysis provides the nuclear department with the fundamental understanding of the forces, trends, and factors, which will affect the implementation of the program at the organisational level, business levels, and operational level in the installation of the nuclear facility. A SWOT analysis shows the strengths (critical success factors) show that the country has already well trained personnel to install and maintain the facility. In addition, the country has the economic ability to purchase the facility, which has a great potential of contributing to the energy needs of the economy. The country has already built an infrastructure to accommodate the implementation of the facility. The weaknesses include lack of experienced personnel, exposure to the use of the technology, and the huge financial investments, which could take the country a significant amount of time to earn. On the other hand, the opportunities include a new learning experience on the use of nuclear technology, the use of clean and safe sources of energy, the availability and high demand for electricity in the Middle Eastern countries. The threats include natural disasters, the proximity of the UAE to Iran, and the potential threat of a nuclear accident, which can be very disastrous to the people and the country. Evaluating Alternative Business Strategy The nu clear facility, when compared to hydrocarbons, which when burned produce greenhouse gases, which pollute the environment is reliable, clean and safe. The strategy can be achieved by installing the nuclear facility. Another alternative strategy is known as the focus strategy for the UAE. The strategy can be achieved by concentrating on buying the technology from one source, which has a proven track record of no accidents (Park Chevalier 2010). The last strategy is known as the differentiation strategy, which allows the government to focus on the special features of the technology such as the ability of the nuclear reactor to produce yellow cake uranium, which is in demand in the market, without raising eyebrows from other countries (Park Chevalier 2010). Formulating Implementing Operations Strategy The key elements to consider include the quality of the technology and quality management issues related to ensuring that the technology is safe. That is in addition to installing a tech nology, which has every aspect of control and safety and the provision of leadership to implement the strategy at all levels of the strategy. The quality assurance, control, and planning components should form part of the strategy to ensure that the cost of quality is within the projected budget (Park Chevalier 2010). Information Technology Operations Management Information technology comes in handy for the implementation of the strategy because it underpins the effective and efficient management of different activities, operations and the coordination of the departments, which are critical for the operational efficiency of the company (Abusharekh Shamisi 2011). The departments to coordinate include the nuclear department, the human resource, financial, and quality assurance departments. Designing and Developing New Services The approach of designing and developing new services, which are specific to the installation of the nuclear facility in the UAE, will be based on the use of information technology (Abusharekh Shamisi 2011). Process Management The core processes will be done within the facility subject to the availability of skilled technicians and other trained personnel to handle the issues. Non-core activities will be outsourced to reduce the costs associated with employing personnel to carry out the activities (Park Chevalier 2010). Calculation based on the following formula, will provide the basis for making the right decision on the value of outsourcing certain services and carrying them within the facility. Q = (P+FC)/ (p-v) From the above equation, Q is the quantity of units produced (electricity, etc), p is the profit, v is the variable cost, and f is the fixed cost. The formula translates to the following equation: Total costs (TC) = fixed costs (FC) + vQ Quality Management An organisation, which implements the strategy very well, finds that the issue of quality is one of the fundamental elements underpinning the delivery of services and eff ective implementation of operations management. To ensure that the strategy works well, the operations manager must ensure that a number of elements which define the strategy have to be factored into the process. The operations manager has to ensure that they are able to address the issues related to the installation of a nuclear reactor to generate electric power for domestic and industrial use. Quality Frame Work The quality framework for the strategy and the nuclear facility will be based on the fitness for use of the nuclear facility, user satisfaction who are the people and the government of the UAE, the quality of the design of the nuclear facility to ensure accidents do not happen in the event of threats, the quality of conformance to ensure that the facility conforms to international quality standards of nuclear facilities, availability, which is a key component to ensure that the facility makes its services available to the users, reliability and maintainability to ensure e xtra costs do not increase out of proportion, and field service to ensure the facility is up to standard (Park Chevalier 2010). The key components of quality the quality framework include quality planning, control, and assurance. Forecasting and Capacity Planning The operations management concept underpins the ability of the management of the nuclear department to forecast and provide capacity planning for the country to evaluate its resources to purchase and install the facility (Park Chevalier 2010). The nuclear department will have to forecast and predict the demand for additional needs for energy, assess the cost of the facility and determine the likely behavior of other countries, which have shown a lot of concern on the safety of the nuclear facility in the UAE. The key tools the organisation will use to assess the nuclear facility for compliance to the quality standards include Pareto analysis, statistical sampling, and inspections by qualified personnel. The six sigma step s and the Seven Run Rule of quality management will underpin the quality framework. Recommendations A close investigation of the issues related to operations management in this study show that the implementation of the facility is economically, technologically, and socially feasible. However, there is a need to seek for public opinion on their perceptions, which an issue not exhaustively covered in this paper. In addition, there is a need to assess the nuclear awareness level of the citizens of the UAE and the need to assess and create policies, which deal with nuclear nonproliferation treaties to make the UAE compliant with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other treaties to could remove any suspicion that the UAE may go in the way of processing uranium for military use. Conclusion In conclusion, the study has established that the UAE is prepared to install the nuclear facility amid the international concerns related to the safety of the facility from external threa ts, which include natural disasters such as earthquakes, the country’s closeness to Iran, the need to comply with nuclear nonproliferation treaties, and other international bodies, which control the sale of nuclear technology. To address the concerns, the government of the UAE through the department of nuclear energy can adopt the operational strategy and integrate the elements into its nuclear installation strategy to implement the program successfully. The strategic elements include quality management at different levels of the strategy and the use of information technology as a tool to implement the strategy. It is however, recommended that further studies on the UAE’s nuclear policies and the public perceptions about nuclear energy be conducted to clarify the issues related to the public’s overall perceptions about nuclear energy.
